What personal data we collect and why we collect it:

Personal data is generated from technical processes such as cookies, payment processors, contact forms, analytics, and third party embeds. By default, WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. Information may be shared with third parties that help us provide you service and some of the plugins used to develop this website may store cookies or collect personal data.

Cookies:

If you edit or publish an article, additional cookies may be saved in your browser. These cookies include no personal data and simply indicate the post ID of the article you edit. It expires after 1 day.

Comments:

When visitors leave comments on the site, the visitor’s IP address and browser agent string may be collected or checked through an automated spam detection service to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service, Automattic, to see if you are using it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here.

How long we retain your data:
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Payments:

We collect information about you on our website during the payment process. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, phone number, credit card/payment details, and other details for the purpose of processing your payment. Handling this data allows us to:

– Verify your identity, process payments, and prevent fraudulent transactions.
– Send you important account information.
– Respond to your queries or complaints.

We may accept payments through Stripe or another secured payment processor. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to the payment processor, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

What rights you have over your data:

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Embedded content from other websites:

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. 

Google and YouTube

Google Web Fonts:

For uniform representation of fonts, this page may use web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

To achieve this, your browser has to establish a direct connection to Google servers. Google thus becomes aware that our web page was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web fonts is done in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our plugin. Google does not use any information collected by Google Fonts to create profiles of end users or for targeted advertising. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.

YouTube
Our website may use plugins from YouTube, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

If you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. Here the YouTube server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. If you’re logged into your YouTube account, YouTube allows you to associate your browsing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
